Italian keyboard

Hi,
I'm using the italian keyboard map (/usr/lib/kbd/keymaps/amiga-it.kbd) that
was in the distro (I guess, otherwise it was in the apus archives, but I
don't think so), i.e. LinuxPPC1999 Q3, and I cannot find the [] chars nor
the {} ones (which I really do need for js programming).
I can't use the Alt+"+" combination I use under Workbench, since all the
Alt+<key> combos are mostly system shortcuts.
Any help?
