Hi all, I'm having problems with video display, no matter what video mode I selec= t I just get scramble display. I issued the command line: bootstrap --apus -k apus/linux -r apus/images-1.44/root.bin root=3D/dev/= ram rw video=3Dvirge:mode:1024x768-65 console=3Dtty0 = or bootstrap --apus -k apus/linux -r apus/images-1.44/root.bin root=3D/dev/= ram rw video=3Dvirge:mode:800x600-56 console=3Dtty0 and can't get Debian to display properly. In fact, there seem to be a problem with frequencies, does anyone now = working virge modes ? I have a CyberV643D 4 Mb,blizz PPC 175 040 and 64 M= b RAM. The above is the same command I issue to boot my LinuxPPC2000 Q4 distro, = of course with the proper changes, but video mode is the same why it does= n't work with Debian ? BTW I don't know if this can be an issue, but bootstrap and ppcboot_wup a= nd ppcboot_pup are the same ones I used with LinuxPPC2000Q4. BTW I'm trying to install Debian on a fresh 1.5 Gb partition, I already h= ave working but unstable LinuxPPCQ4 on another partition, but now became = so unstable that I can't even upgrade packages, if I try to reinstall RPM= says it can't find the database, (rebuild ? how ?), and other packages r= efuse completely to install, the thing is I have a working Apache 1.3.20 = server, with PHP 4.06 , MySQL-MAX, phpMyAdmin, and PHPnuke, and I need to= migrate them somewhere, but the installation of 2000PPCQ4, doesn't recog= nize all the needed packages, so reinstalling a fresh LinuxPPCq4 is out o= f question, that's why I'm trying Debian. TIA Regards, Rick = |
