Yep, the idea behind new revisions of stable releases is to fix grave
bugs and security holes. New versions, which might introduce new
problems, are avoided as well as possible.

We are only in the beginning of the freeze process, so that's a rather
optimistic guess.

Anyway, as long as you're not running a mission critical system where
maximum stability is required, you probably want to run testing or even
sid to get the latest freshmeat. :)
