Hi Michel , On 15-Oct-01, you wrote: >> Can someone let me know where to look please? I have that deb file but was hoping to find a *.tar.gz file as I cant remember how to adapt my sources list to use a local file. I assume I have to mirror the directory tree structure of the dists on the HD that I use for transfering the files, but am not sure what I need to add in the way of contents file or whatever is needed to get apt to recognise the files. I have been ill and just cant work out how I set it up before, I'm sure I just installed a more up to date binary package, then after connecting to the net did an upgrade that way. I realy want to get KDE 2.* installed again and that would need a net connection unless I could compile my own with the source of 2.2 that is on a recent cd from the Linux Format magazine. But until I understand what I am doing again, no chance of that ;-) Regards -- John Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain. -- Lily Tomlin mail: ch...@la... http://www.lordofchaos.co.uk ICQ 110130385 Nick = Chaos A1200 BlizzardPPC 240mhz 060/50 BlizzardVision OS3.9 Supporting Magnum Opus - http://www.magnumopus.co.uk |
