Ok, i assume only the kernel is Apus-specific, not the
Debian-Apus-installer?

iirc, the message was: Failed to mount -t proc proc /proc
This happened on both the internet and harddrive methods.

I used excactly these:

http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-powerpc/current/apus/
images-1.44/

It seemed to me that they were up to date, being in the 'current' directory.
Maybe the mirror is lagging a bit?
