Initial Comment:
 When i type 'reboot' kernel shuts down but Amiga does 
not restart. It shows green screen. Machine does not 
restaqrt even upon hardware reset. I have to switch off 
the power.

are you running an AmigaOS tool such as 'BlizzKick'? If so,
the RESBUF which it uses gets corrupted. you might also find
the same behaviour if you have MAPROM enabled on the card. 
does "shutdown -r" have the same effect too?
