Can they be replaced by inb/outb in net/8390.c or better leave it alone ?

BTW. How are ide-interrupts serviced. The beginning is in
arch/ppc/amiga/amiints.c, and the end in drivers/ide/gayle.c. What part of
kernel should I read ?
