Why Linux 2.4.18 doesn't boot with it. If someone gives me hardware specification I'll write driver. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Krystian Bac³awski (cahirwpz) Date: 2002-10-16 16:23 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=574906 Yep, I know, because I'm the person that have that specification. The first problem is that I'm not experienced in writing drivers. The second is that I'm far away from my amiga (studies). The third is lack of some structures in cvs kernel tree (as Geert told) so I cannot implement many things (FastATA is really diffrent from PC IDE controllers). Currently I've managed to use hda/hdb in PIO3/4/5 16bit mode (1.5-3 MB per second). Driver support for many features of FastATA is very limited. I'm looking for people that're willing to test this very experimental driver. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2002-10-16 13:26 Message: Logged In: NO According to Darek Dulian (Elbox) they have made available FastATA technical documentation for people interetsed in writing linux drivers for it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=355907&aid=564304&group_id=5907 |
