Hello,

By configure I assume you mean how to make it talk to the world as opposed
to configure a kernel to support these devices ?

I don't know anything about how Suse is set up but look at the following
files (if they exist) for hints : 

  /etc/rc.d/init.d/network 
  /etc/sysconfig/network
  /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts

Commands of interest to you might be 'ifconfig' and 'dhcpcd'.

Does sound work at all, how are you trying to use it ?
