thanks - its this quirky info that i need.  was there any move to
standardise the gfx-cards on APUS so they were all called in the same name
format (eg virgefb, cyberfb, pm2fb etc)?

what about the 'mode' part of virge, it too is 'alien', yes? What is
you're bootstrap line that works with the virge?
