Hello everybody! Last week I donwloaded the whole 2.2 tree from sourceforge net after the mail with subject: CVS Update: 2.2 (15.02.2001) arrived! I compiled the sources using a config which I used to compile the former 2.2.10 sources (the kernel I got with the former sources works fine). After trying the newly compiled kernel the console output one gets while Linux boots was higher than the visible screen, so that a few lines were beyond the lower screen edge. After Linux booted and while X was started my monitor switched off like it does if it gets to low/high frequency values that it can't display! As mentioned above: I used the same config, the same startscript, the same XF86Config and so on! These values are fine for all previous kernels/sources (2.2.10 and even 2.4)! Does anybody know what happend with the sources after the changes described within the above-mentioned mail were applied? Many thanx and kind regards -- ======================== René Thol ------------------------------------ Multimedia Computing University of Ulm ======================== E-Mail: Ren...@gm... ======================== |
