As Alan already mentioned, Linux is usually more picky about that sort of
things. It's the best hardware testing software I know. :)

I don't expect that to mean too much, probably just a minor change in the
upper SCSI code.

That's the kernel heartbeat, it means that interrupts are being serviced.
