That will take you weeks and months...

The CVS repository contains all versions of all files, so it's normally
trivial to back out any mistakes.

The diff is from 2.2.x, and you don't need time. Just put the definition
somewhere in head.S and a few calls to find out where they are needed. If the
diff doesn't apply anyway, that is.
