I was planning to have some time to look at this, but havent been able to.

apparently there was a kernel with MOL applied...but i think it wasnt done
properly and didnt work....it was also never uploaded to the old sunsite
address for us to look at or test. 

I think once this patch has been applied, it should be put into the
source-tree as standard.. I cant see it affecting anything else.... any
objections?
