I looked at it once awhile ago.  The BSD  kernels seem quite a bit
different internally compared to Linux, so I was a bit lost looking at the
sources.

I still have a few things to try.  I am not ready to give up just yet.

I guess I will try to be patient since this is my first serious effort to
 learn something about the kernel.

I don't know anything about that so maybe they could.  I don't know who to
contact though.
