Missing symbols in 2.4.0-test3

I have tried to get 2.4.0-test3 running, but several modules (slip, ppp, ...)
get an unresolved symbol error, namely "irq_stat". This is strange, because
this symbol is listed in the System.map (what do the letters there mean, 
anyway?).

All this was fine in 2.4.0-test2.
