Can't startx

Hi

I have just installed the lastest Stable, Sarge version of Debian on my
A1200T with 240Mhz blizzard PPC & Bvision, with 128mbs of RAM. The install
seemed to go well and I installed gnome through dselect again seemed to go
fine. Where my problem is when I login either as root or user and type
startx it says unknown comand as if it isn't installed?! I am new to Linux
but have been reading up on it and looking at docs on the net and haven't
found anything about this, anthough there is a lot of infomation out there
and I can't look under every stone! If anyone has any idea I would greatly
appreciate it.
