Though I > guess you want some kind of ethernet connection.. ;) Well the PCMCIA ethernet problem doesn't surface in 2.4.20 so I will try Alan's suggestion of an older kernel and if that solves the clock problem then I will have to tackle whatever other problems that throws up as and when they occur.
