Does the system really freeze totally? Aren't you able to login via=20 ssh? Are you running in console mode? It's not just the x server=20 freezeing? Could you try some other tool than kppp, although this is=20 basically just a wrapper and shouldn't have any influence on the=20 crashing? Or maybe you leave out the ram speed argument, but I can hardly imagine=20= that memory problems would be triggered by the ppp daemon. I really=20 think it's about the kernel serial driver code. What has changed=20 between the kernel versions in the driver code (or the whole=20 framework..))? These are just a few pointers you could go after. --=20 Best wishes, Andi= |
