My card is a CybervisionPPC(8MB). =20 I've the same configuration. I tried using glint instead of the framebuffer (they had told me it should be faster then the fb), but when I launched startx using the glint instead of the fb I received only a lot of "unresolved symbol" errors. I have no time and I don't know how to compile the right kernel for Amiga, so I returned to the fb. I add my question: how fast your AmigaLinux is? I've a 4gb UWSCSI IBM HDD, but I don't see any difference between it and the IDE. The programs are very slow to start up and I find that 96mb of ram are not enough for a smooth use of Linux, without X and very few daemons launched I have 30mb of free ram only, and when I start X (I use xfce) Linux start swapping. Has anyone some suggestions? Thanks, Pietro.=20 --=20 I will build myself a copper tower With four ways out a no way in But mine the glory, mine the power (So I chose Amiga) |
