2.4.9

Hi,

I finally managed to get 2.4.9 working again after bigger changes in the
bitkeeper tree. I hope I didn't miss anything, so please check this
release carefully.

I was going to make 2.4.9 Debian packages right away, do you think I should
wait for a while yet? Actually, unstable is the place for breakages. :) But if
people won't report bugs, it might slip into woody...

Too late, I've already uploaded the packages. :) They are currently pending
for inclusion into the archive. Now I'm working on 2.4.9-2 with your
changes... Anything imminent?

An alternative would be for you to tell me when I should upload new packages.

Yes, I currently check 2.4.9/m68k.

I commit patches when they're ready. :)
If I have a pending patch, I usually commit it at latest after an
import.

That's very reasonable. I was thinking along the line of you telling me "the
new version should be ready for packaging" or "this fix or new feature might
justify new packages". That would make my life as maintainer much easier. :)
This is all based on my assumption that you are always able to judge such
things anyway.

Err, I can't beat you to building official Debian packages. ;)

You are welcome to build binaries for our site, for those still not using
Debian... *grin*

thanks for the importing work there! (i note the affs fix which needed
tagging again :-) ) - any chance that bitkeeper can be given the fixed
version to stop this happening again?
