But what should I ask for... I don't have this problem. If I had it I'd know what to ask about. I wonder if only a part of A4000 users are affected by this problem, or all of them, ie. it's a question of differences between hardware or a kernel and/or xserver related problem. BTW. I think everything should be done in proper order. I mean, the working ide-driver is the most important thing, after fixing it we should focus on glint driver problem. Why ? Maybe it's very irritaiting having those crashes, but not having kernel that works prevent me (not only me) from developing apus. It's a pity (as Andreas Wust said) that people who experience those problem aren't those who would solve them quickly. Regards Krystian Baclawski |

Right. So we have to ask about x-server version, kernel version, maybe=20 glibc version, gcc version that was used for compiling the running kernel= =20 and if the graphics- and PPC-board is a P5 or DCE one. But whats up now? Should I make a php-script for a poll? Ciao, Ren=E8 |

Should I make a php-script for a poll? Yes, start doing it, but before we release it I want to be sure whether it really provides information that will be useful. Maybe someone have additional suggestions about a poll ??? (I think that the poll will be easy comparing to fixing those problems.) Regards Krystian Bac=B3awski |

Here the first review for the poll. Just drop the html-file to a browser.= =20 The elements of the form will then be send to a php-script (which not=20 exists for now) and simply writes all statements to a file. Please make=20 your changes and/or give suggestions. BTW, in my opinion we should do different polls for the IDE/last_ipl and=20 glint problems. Ciao |

Hi, Alan! I'm not sure if I understand you right (I am only a german...). But I use= =20 a 604e@200MHz with CV-PPC and booting from IDE. All seems working fine,=20 but the last_ipl[] outputs. As Krystian Baclawski say, we should do a poll. I last mentioned that we=20 should also make a poll for X4-server crashes on some machines using the=20 glint-driver. Michel said, it is able to do a poll on sf.net. How? Ciao, Ren=E8 |
