Basically we ended up with a guy from Symbian on this list, who was told to give us what help he could in any spare work time he had (i.e. they werent prepared to devote any resources to it) by accessing source code for the relevant machines which he had access to. He was not actually an original developer, so this was code and hardware he wasn't familiar with, and he was also not allowed to actually give us any source code since that was Symbian IP. He ended up not actually providing us with any useful information for one or another reason. I actually know someone who works at Nokia, neé Symbian, née PSION, and I asked them about this; after saying "The Psion 5? That's ancient! Also, crap" she added that everyone who knows about it is now gone. The source code hasn't been released with the Symbian Foundation stuff, but is still available to people inside Nokia. Of course, this is all entirely unofficial, probably not even right, beer was involved, etc. Am I right in assuming that people already *have* the necessary documentation, but it's restricted in circulation due to the NDA? Is it worth me asking whether there's anyone still around with authority to revoke the NDA? Is anything else required? - -- ┌─── dg@cowlark.com ───── http://www.cowlark.com ───── │ │ "Money is a sign of poverty." --- Iain Banks │ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkt63C4ACgkQf9E0noFvlzhA/gCg2mne6tj0/5opKODAG/ckQBBq mokAoNiC56ttgQ6FXD9ezsrv1nK/d17U =cs2U -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
