> > Has anyone been able to get a 256Mb CF (Sandisk) card to work? Yup. SanDisk Ultra 256MB on my 5mx pro, partitioned on PC (is there some fdisk on EPOC?)... Which device are you talking of? In my (tinkering) with a CF card I've found the Psion (S5 in my case) to be way more finicky than either my digital camera, or my USB CF reader. In my case everything can always read the CF fine except the S5, which often just decides it's Corrupt. To get around this without reformatting on the PC and then again on the S5, I found the EShell app (from Symbian I believe) to be excellent. Whenever my S5 believes the CF card is corrupt (because, say, I took it out and put something on it, or switche on the Psion without it inside), I just fire up eshell.exe (which obviously has to live on the internal disk) and attempt to format D drive (with the CF card NOT in the Psion). That seems to trip it over to realise the CF is just missing. If it registers as missing even after inserting it, closing the door and then turning on the Psion, I'd suggest either the CF door trigger is stuffed, or the CF is indeed either corrupt or not formatted for the EPOC. Question of my own. How can you put more files onto the EPOC partition (from say Knoppix, or even Windoze) and have the Psion not believe the added files are corrupt? ===== Ben Helps Fire bad.
