Missing thumbs and only fullsize imageges

I am able to generate thumbs for pictures for 150 and 350kb, but not larger pictures like 2MB.

I can only view pictures in fullsize, both for large an small originals.

My web-hotel only offers 8MB memory for php. Could this be the problem?

  yes - the problem is caused due the memory limit and maybe also due a slow cpu...
