Client does not support authentication protoc

Hello,

First sorry for my bad englishe.

I get the error message:
"Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client"

I already did everything with OLD_PASSWORD
but that din't help.

I use:

- WINDOWS XP SP2
- APACHE 2.0.52
- MySQL server 4.1
- php 4.3.10

does someone has an idea?

after you reset to Mysql 4.1 to use old_passsword you need to reset the passwords for each user. This will downgrade the passwords stored in the database. Then try to logon
