About what I said just now, I think I made a mistake, 
so instead i think we have to use a combination of keyPressed and keyReleased.

About the part you said you were stuck, is it something in jedit options, you can define your keyboard shortcuts for it or something else?

Oh and about the note parser,  could you give some hints or explaination about how it works or about using it.

Side Note, I realised something about highlighting in Jedit, eg. c''  the 2nd ' is not higlighted.   the number 4 is also not highlighted in fis4_6_5, rather 5 is hightlight.
