Score Holder

I would like to be able to view scanned copy of my score
in JEdit or in a panel while being able to enter notes at
the same time.
This would be much easier to enter scores as you only
need to look at your screen when u input the notes.
The image might be view in the background behind the
editor, but should have options to scale and maybe
rotate and dragged around.
To expand on this idea further, it can somehow be
turned into a manual OCR. Lines of staffs can be position
and notes can be click to input position of notes.

There is the GfxView plugin for the simple purpose of having
the picture at hand in a floating window. However, it seems
not to work.

Well, GfxView does work, but it the File System Browser must
be docked to use it. (Docking is made in Utilities>Global
Options>Docking)

Actually I did downlaod the GfxView plugin, but I havent
really got to work yet.
I also like the Background plugin, where you can blend in a
colour, picture with transparancy in the background of the
buffer view.
The only thing it lacks it some control like what GfxView
have, zooming, dragging it around.
Maybe the 2 plugins can be combined?

Perhaps the GfxView plugin could be updated to provide
Background's feature. GfxView is not really maintained, so
perhaps you could ask its author to let you help him. See
http://plugins.jedit.org/plugins/?GfxView
The important thing is that we shouldn't implement this
feature in the LilyPondTool, because users should achieve
this via other plugins.
