 This should work as you request, i.e. Lilith isn't showing previous log
 file entries, at least not in my examples.

 Are you sure that the FileAppender is configured with the

 <append>false</append>

 option? Sounds to me like a Logback issue, if it is, since the reason why
 Lilith will show previous log entries is that they are actually still in
 the file...
 I couldn't even implement it differently, even if I wanted to ;)

 It can't be a problem in the LilithEncoder, either, since it's not
 involved with deleting of the previous file. That's the job of the
 FileAppender/RollingFileAppender.
