As described in the manual, there are two ways of running shows with LightsUp.

  1. The preferred way is by scripting the show and clicking through the cues. This way, a blackout is simply another cue in the script. LightsUp was designed around this method.
  2. The alternate way to run a show is by mapping an entire lighting scene to a single fader. Then blackout is as simple as lowering that one fader. Setting up this method is more complicated, so is generally avoided.
