Now I got it: configure did take the wrong lib-dir! It should have been=20 /opt/kde2/lib.=20 export KDEDIR=3D/opt/kde2 did the trick, it seems LICQ's aclocal.m4 only = honors=20 the old KDEDIR, not the new KDEDIRS variable. So aclocal.m4 should be extended to make use of KDEDIRS. I don't know eno= ugh=20 m4 to do that right now. :-) But after compiling with KDE-support, LICQ now crashes: 10:59:14: [WRN] Licq: Ignoring stale lockfile (pid 9898) 10:59:15: [INI] Owner configuration. 10:59:15: [INI] User configuration. 10:59:15: [INI] Loading 164 users. 10:59:15: [INI] Loading saved auto-responses. 10:59:15: [INI] Loading utilities. 10:59:15: [TCP] Local TCP server started on port 33255. 10:59:15: [INI] Opening fifo. 10:59:15: [INI] Spawning daemon threads. 10:59:15: [INI] Starting plugin KDE GUI (version 1.1.0). 10:59:16: [INI] Attempting to load de_DE@euro Qt-GUI translation. 10:59:16: [INI] KDE GUI configuration. 10:59:16: [INI] Geometry configuration (3, 19) (148 x 561) 10:59:16: [INI] Applying basic-ncb skin. 10:59:16: [SRV] Requesting logon (#3008)... 10:59:16: [SRV] Connecting to login server. 10:59:16: [SRV] Resolving login.icq.com port 5190... 10:59:16: [SRV] ICQ server found at 64.12.162.57:5190. 10:59:16: [SRV] Opening socket to server. 10:59:16: [PKT] Packet (SRVv0, 10 bytes) received: (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:33256 <- 64.12.162.57:5190) 0000: 2A 01 57 FD 00 04 00 00 00 01 *.W=FD.....= =2E 10:59:16: [PKT] Packet (SRVv0, 137 bytes) sent: (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:33256 -> 64.12.162.57:5190) 0000: [...] KCrash: crashing.... crashRecursionCounter =3D 2 KCrash: Application Name =3D licq path =3D <unknown> pid =3D 9977 That's all, up to there. After that, the LICQ backend runs happily and lo= gs=20 in, and everything... But the KDE plugin is dead.
