Hello,
After many long sessions with Claude Code, I have the following:
Would it make sense to add a pull-request to the github clone of libwpd, or something else? Of course it would be very good to see these improvements in LibreOffice also.

Clearly AI-generated code is not welcome in this project, but for anyone who wants to build libdwpd with added features, I earlier offered (on a LibreOffice forum) links to source code. Here are updated versions of those added features. (I will also try to add the WP6-encryption code posted elsewhere on this site two days ago.)
WP6 Word fix — should be added together with the cross-reference import described below (the fix repairs a defect that cross-ref import introduces, where a list item that’s also a cross-ref target gets its number emitted outside a paragraph → invalid ODF that Word rejects):
https://github.com/emendelson/libwpd/compare/master...wp6-flushtext-wordfix
That view shows both commits (cross-refs + the fix). To show only the fix in isolation:
https://github.com/emendelson/libwpd/compare/wp6-crossref-import...wp6-flushtext-wordfix
WP5 live cross-references (sits on the page-numbering branch; also carries the WP5 paragraph-number group, which is WIP — renders numbers as plain text):
https://github.com/emendelson/libwpd/compare/wp5-page-numbering...wp5-live-crossrefs
libodfgen text:note-ref support — pair this with the WP5 cross-refs above; without it, the footnote/endnote references don’t render:
https://github.com/emendelson/libodfgen/compare/master...note-ref
These are fixes made earlier (wp6-crossref-import, wp5-page-numbering); they are unchanged and remain the base branches the two new ones build on.
