Just to expand a bit more, at the USB level, there is no “set alternate setting” command. There’s only “set interface”, which has two parameters: interface number and alternate setting. If you select an interface with no other options, you are automatically choosing alternate setting 0. You never have to choose an alternate interface unless it is other than zero, and that typically only happens with isochronous devices, like audio and video. — Tim Roberts, ti...@pr...
