The log certainly implies a mismatch in the standard library linkage. 
If you build libusb statically, you should specify the static runtime
library */MT" when you build.  If you build libusb with the dynamic
runtime library (/MD or /MDd), then your code must use the same option. 
You cannot have your code use /MD when libusb is expecting /MDd, because
the debug entry points won't be found.

The "invalid parameter" errors are unrelated to libusb.
