This is important advice, and I’d like to echo it.  MANY developers have an extremely bad habit of resetting or clearing their endpoints as a normal matter of course.  That’s an extremely bad habit.  Resetting and clearing are extraordinary events that should ONLY be used in cases where your device is in a known error condition.  If you are using it in normal processing, then you are covering up a device bug.
