Another possibility: maybe the contacts in the USB connector are wearing thin from all this plugging and unplugging. Connectors generally do have a finite number of cycles. I know I have a USB flash drive I got 6 years ago that I sometimes have to wiggle to get it to work nowadays. Michael |
