The main motivation for moving towards WinUSB was to avoid the
64 bit code signing issues. So this means that in general
there is no alternative other than to purchase a code signing
key at some stage. (or should that be "rent" - what a money making
racket it is, worse even than domain names. Charging hundreds of
dollars a year for one entry in a database.)
