Hi Juhani. I think Microsoft removed the possibility of adding drivers by right clicking on .inf files in Vista and Windows 7. The only way to add a driver in these versions would be through the device manager. When opening the Device Manager, there typically exists 2 possibilities: 1. Windows doesn't have a driver for your device, and your device is listed in "Other devices" -> "Unknown device", in which case you would right click and select "Update Driver Software" the "Browse My Computer" and point to the directory where you have the files. If this is the case, you might also have received a warning when plugging in the device telling you that Windows was unable to locate a driver. 2. Windows does have an existing driver for your device, in which case you would right click and select "Update Driver Software" -> "Browse My Computer" and, to be sure the proper driver is installed, also select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers" and then select "Have Disk". That last part is important to make sure Windows doesn't try to reinstall the existing driver. If either one of the operations above is successful, you should see a new "libusb (WinUSB) devices" category in Device Manager, and your device should be listed under it. Regards, /Pete |
