For libusb to function, the following options have to be enabled: CONFIG_USB_SUPPORT, CONFIG_USB, minimum one host controller driver (CONFIG_EHCI_HCD, CONFIG_UHCI_HCD or CONFIG_OHCI_HCD) and finally CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS which perhaps is not a requirement, but it is recommended for now. > except above, should other things be pay attention to? udev can play some tricks, but if your kernel does have the basic USB support, libusb should be useful.
