Hey, we are 2000 times more power-efficient than libusb-0.1 ;)

Yes, I do plan to increase the default timeout, but only after the 
library has had more exposure. If something does go wrong with the event 
handling then waiting 2 seconds for it to recheck the condition is not a 
huge issue.
