No

1.Create block.
2.File > save as > usr/share/librecad/library/misc

then I get a warning -"Cannot save the file
/usr/share/librecad/library/misc/1.dxf
Please check the permissions.

3.I try to set the permissions -but I am unable to change because i am not the Root owner1

How do I change the Library path or set the permissions in Ubuntu 11.10?

Regards

Clive

    Clive,

In Preferences there is a option to set the paths.
Simply create a path in preferences that is writable for your user.
usually this is somewhere in your home directory.

Yes I`ve tried that and I still get the same warning that I`m not the root owner?

Is there a terminal command I could try?

    I`m using Ubuntu 11.10

    Edit>>Application Preferences>>Paths

Set the "Parts Library" path to a folder that you have ownership of. If you have existing blocks in that library that you wish to keep using just copy them into the new folder.
