1st: Why would you want to use 8.1 instead of latest (8.2?)
2nd: I do not know this hardware. While PPI is supported, with the USB-PPI adapter one of these might be true:
1.The adapter emulates a COM port. Then it should work.
2. The adapter doesn´t emulate a COM port. It has proprietary drivers from Siemens. Then it may work via the S7online procol on windows only

It doesn´t seem to be simulating a COM port but i agree with you that it may be using a Siemens driver.
The problem is :
- What should i do to connect trough S7Online?
- Is S7Online installed with Micro/Win 4.0, i don´t think so.
- Where i get s7Online?
- Some examples of connecting with libnodave trhough S7Online.
Thanks a lot

Anybody knows if a USB/PPI adapter can be used to communicate with a S7-200(224) to develop a Delphi SCADA.
How?
I´m almost sure that it´s possible with 232/PPI adapter. Am I right?
