Just checked with Windows and a file explorer on Android: Seems to be a bug in 
the Android Implementation. Windows however copies the file just fine, they 
probably have some kind of error checking. Is there any way something like 
this can be implemented in LIBMTP as well?

I'll post here again once I either find or file the bug myself in the Android 
Bugtracker.
