Have you tried this? Rhythmbox does it similarly in CVS, also Amarok 2 I think. It's a plug/unplug paradigm like. This is (I think) the closest you can get to how Windows does things right now, and the way these devices are designed to work... The command-line tools cannot do this tho. Unless we modify them to idle waiting for hald and D-bus to notify us. Linus |
