#1689 Can't access files on Samsung Galaxy S6

[Anonymous]

When trying to access my Samsung Galaxy S6 phone using libmtp with kubuntu 16.04 I get the following error message:

Kubuntu originally had version 1.1.10 installed. It had the same issue. This seems to have started sometime in the past few months as it originally worked. The effect of this is that I can get directory listings but am unable to open files.

Hi Marcus, Thanks for your response. I had previously updated my system to libmtp 1.1.13 and was still experiencing problems with Android 6.0.1. However, I just upgraded my phone to Android 7.0 and the problem is resolved. It appears that it is an issue with the devicestring being malformed in Android 6.x.x.
