#1084 [REGRESSION] Does not list photos from android phone properly

In Debian we have received some bug reports like the following:

It seems to us that following commit has introduced a regression:

[b9a840c] Async buffering for high-speed transfers.

We have applied the attached patch to revert the change set and then fix the issue.
