The last time I tried OSX was 10.2, and at that time there was an issue with the XDR implemenation. I checked a 10.3 machine at Supercomputing this past November and the XDR issue seems to have been cleared up. However, I have not had access to a 10.3 machine to actually test the library. As I recall from 10.2, OSX uses libtool to create libraries by default (?). The make rules will thus need to be slightly modified to successfully build shared libraries for OSX. However, I think static libraries will work 'out of the box'. Try make distclean ./configure --disable-shared ... make run_examples If that fails please post any link error messages, ./configure output, and your Make.common file. In the meantime I'll talk to some people about getting an account on an OSX machine. -Ben -----Original Message----- From: lib...@li...
