	THere is a STRONG pattern to the stream of messages:

	Not that it starts with a ' 79 07 02' line, goes thru 7a, 70, 71,
	73, 74, 76, and 77 (never any other values) and then repeats in the
	same order for each over and over.

	A broken piece of equipment would be generating rubbish and more
	randomly one would think - no?

	The audio plays ok so I'll just redirect stderr to /dev/null
	(extracting 8 minutes of audio generated over 1MB of "messages")
