I'm trying to transfer some movies down to my camcorder over a firewire (IEEE1394) link. To do this I thought I'd 1. run MPlayer's 'mencoder' to convert the video into a dv-avi file 2. run libdv's 'dvavi' to convert the dv-avi into 'raw' dv 3. use libdv's 'dvconnect' to transfer the raw dv down the 1394 link to the camcorder Unfortunately I've hit a snag with step #2. On 8 out of 9 tested video files dvavi is adding a distortion to the audio track in the raw-dv output. Using dvplay or mplayer to play back the raw dv I hear a 'clicking' on the top of most of any sound that's at normal volume. Has anyone ever experienced this before, or have any idea on what I should look at to fix the problem? Otherwise, does anyone know of any other utilities I can use to transfer dv-2 AVI or 'raw' dv down a firewire link to a camcorder? Thanks, Brad b_r...@ya... __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo http://search.yahoo.com |
