Yes, that's Debian bug #149901, for reference.  I haven't fixed it in
the Debian package so far, however, since 0.9.6 seems to be really
close now.

It's still not clear to me whose to blame in this issue, i. e. which
endianness is the correct one and which one only happens to work due to
a bug.
